Summary

The Karmic Music Free EP 2008 contest is geared toward rock, country, and pop bands, as well as singer/songwriters. This is a year long contest that will select one artist in October 2008. The selected Sonicbids artist will be given access to record a five song EP at some of the top studios and with some of the top engineers in Boston.



The preliminary judging will be done by the in-house engineers and producers at Karmic Music, and the final winner will be chosen by Nate Christy (CEO), Jay Frigoletto (Grammy winning Mix Engineer), Joe Grunin (Managing Partner), Tyler Mein (Studio Director), and Pablo Falbru (Production Manager). The winner will also have a showcase night promoted by Karmic.



Karmic Music has been recording and promoting artists in the Boston area for over six years. Participating studios in the competition include Barefoot Studios, Mix One and Kissy Pig to name a few. Artists must be able to record the EP in the Boston area in late 2008 or early 2009.
