Summary
In its fifth year, KC Christian Musics (KCCMs) Song of the Year Contest is an annual songwriting contest whose mission is to provide Christian songwriters and musicians with an avenue to help increase public awareness about their ministry. This is a six-month contest from July 1st through December 31st with each month starting a new Round. Songwriters have the chance to have their songs listened to and voted on by the general public and music industry leaders.
There will be Seven (7) Round 3 finalists; with one (1) Grand Prize Winner and one (1) First Place Winner. Winners will be announced at the Fifth Annual KCCM Awards in the spring of 2005. In addition to the prizes and exposure in the music industry, the winners will have the opportunity to perform at the next KCCM Awards. You can find a list of prizes and sponsors listed on our site. Christian independent songwriters and musicians are invited to participate. KCCM Song of the Year Contest sponsors include Sonicbids, Airborne Audio, Awe Struck Studios, Albie Entertainment, Evening Star, Inc., KHCA Angel 95 FM, GJ Magazine, KWC Online LLC and KC Christian Music. Past winners include Beggars Table, Bar Judah, Chronos and Plain Jane.
