The King William IV will select a minimum of five Sonicbids artists to play the venue. They are looking for all genres but particularly indie rock, soft rock, pop and acoustic headlining bands as well as supporting acts. Bands will be paid either a fee or a percentage of the door. The venue would like acts that can draw fans as they rely on the door to pay the bands.

King William IV is a pub with a spacious and flexible area for bands. It is also a back packers hostel, so there is a built in crowd of 30-75 people each night. The venue programs music 1-2 nights per week and usually books 1-2 artists per night. A basic PA is provided, and other equipment can be rented within reason. The venue provides ample parking for bands as well as local transport links including buses, tubes and national rail.
