Summary

This 2008 festival is set in Haines Junction, one of the most beautiful mountain towns in the world, at the foot of the St. Elias Mountains- the largest mountain range in North America. Artists play in a state-of-the-art theatre, with full service dressing rooms, concert seating for 300 people. The front-of-house uses the best sound equipment and engineers in the business, and the festival has sold out in the past 2 years. A second, northern music festival is held in the same town on the same weekend, bringing a large number of crossover fans to the festival.

Artists will play 4-5 sets between 30-45 minutes. Selected artists will also teach 1 instrumental workshop. All artists are provided detailed performer packages explaining the festival expectations and services. We provide full weekend product sales to artists for a service fee of 15%.

The festival is staffed by volunteers with 5 years experience. The mission is to provide the best hospitality of any bluegrass festival. They provide the best food on the bluegrass circuit, ground transportation to and from hotel, and complimentary beverages within the hospitality area.

Performers are offered guided fishing during the festival, and an opportunity to spend a couple of days before or after the festival at exceptional wilderness lodge at not cost to the artist.

Offers from interested bluegrass/old-time country bands should only include the playing fee. The Kluane Mountain Bluegrass Festival pays all transportation to and from home city; all travel in the Yukon, food, lodging and hospitality.

Please Note: This opportunity is for 2008, as they choose their artists a year in advance.
