Summary
KOI will take place on Saturday September 17th, 2011. The 2011 Kitchener Ontario Independent Music Festival will take place throughout downtown Kitchener, ON. Over the course of this one day festival over 150 bands, artist and musicians will perform at 9 indoor venues and 3 outdoor stages all located within downtown Kitchener. Out of 150 total performance slots, 50 are reserved for Sonicbids artists!
Kitchener Ontario Independent Festival is looking for rock, punk, metal, indie, ska, reggae, pop-rock, hip hop, electronic and acoustic artists to perform. Bands will not be compensated for the event, but will receive a great amount of exposure. The festival is anticipating an attendance of 5,000 - 7,000 people.
Last year's performers included Anti-Flag, Die Mannequin, The Reason and Dead & Divine. This year, Protest the Hero and Planet Smashers have been named as two of the headliners.
