On July 13th, KYRS will host an outdoor music festival in Glover Field, just below the falls on the banks of the Spokane River. The event will be a family friendly, low-impact, solar-powered festival and include a full day of live music, food booths, beer garden, bike corral, and a community village of non-profits. Music will highlight local and regional emerging artists and a major headliner. The event will be heavily publicized around the region. The promoters are expecting close to 5000 attendees for this inaugural event.

About KYRS:

KYRS-Thin Air Community Radio is a non-profit, non-commercial community station. Since 2003, Thin Air Radio has served the Spokane area with diverse arts, culture, news and music, filling needs that other media do not, providing programming to diverse communities and un-served or underserved groups. Their signal reaches more than 300,000 people, in parts of five counties and nearly to the Canadian border. They have 60 locally produced programs, all hosted by volunteers, including the only locally produced environmental programs, youth programs, an Arts program, Native American, Spanish language, African-American, Asian, Russian language, LGBT, open poetry, and a seniors program. Their music programs span the genres and highlight local and independent artists.
