Songrunner Entertainment is seeking songs of all genres for an indie noir film about Los Angeles. Songrunner is an active music supervision firm with over 30 projects completed in the past few years. Their current film, "LA, I Hate You", is in need of songs all genres that (1) specifically mention Los Angeles, LA, or City of Angels in the song title or lyrics, and (2) very vibey and edgy songs in the rock, electronica, ambient, hip-hop or goth genres – dealing with the darker or heavier side of subjects like ‘life,’ ‘the streets,’ ‘lost dreams,’ ‘taking chances / cheating,’ etc. They are looking to license finished masters. Please include information with your song submission on what percentage of licensing rights you control on behalf of the publishing rights and the master rights. (temp artist styles include the songs “Los Angeles” by various artists: Sugarcult, Frank Black, The Rosewood Thieves, Atmosphere, The Hippos, Flycat, Denison Witmer)

Film stars William Forsythe, Deedee Pfeiffer, Paul Sloan. It is a vibey Dark Noir-styled film. Los Angeles: land of dreamers and posers, go-getters and losers, tired stereotypes. Take for example: (1) Vincent, who lives the quietly desperate life of American bliss. When Vincent picks up his unscrupulous Uncle Rip at LAX, he is forced to confront his "living lie" of a life. (2) Chris, whose guilt is caused by the tragic accident that left his girlfriend paralyzed, while pretending to live a normal life. Having drinks at a bar with an old friend, they talk about being "rid of" his problem. (3) Jake, the could-have-been action star that never was, who lives with the terrifying realization that he has passed his prime. How far is Jake prepared to go to land a starring movie role? Los Angeles: a big town, but one in which everyone's lives are intertwined and entangled.
