Now in its 34th year, La Mesa Oktoberfest is the largest festival in San Diego County. Nestled in the quaint Village of Downtown La Mesa, hundreds of craft booths surround the Beck's Beer and Bratwurst Garden. Traditional German Bands have been the mainstay of entertainment although organizers have realized the crowds change after 8 pm Fri & Sat. and have added contemporary music to fill these slots as well as an band at 3 pm on Sunday to end the festival.

Compensation ranges from $500 – $1,200 and is commensurate with the artist’s stature and draw in the area. More than $1200 has been paid to name acts. There are 7 total performance slots to be filled.

This year's event, taking place October 5, 6 and 7 is an all-ages event with a beer garden and a target audience ranging from 25-50 year olds. Last year’s total festival attendance was around 100,000 people.

Sound and lighting is provided on an outdoor stage. Past performers include Eve Selis, Rockola, Tribute Bands and Polyester Express.
