20th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards - Round 3

The Los Angeles Music Awards have built a tradition and heritage in Hollywood as a community event that recognizes and honors great talent and helps them get the publicity required to establish themselves in the commercial marketplace.

This red carpet event features live performances, award presentations and most importantly, tons of press. In 2010, the event will take place at the world famous Paramount Theatre on the Paramount Studios lot on November 18, making it even more exclusive and drawing even more of a "Hollywood" clientele – celebrities, music industry, legendary musicians and more.

Past success stories are many and include Black Eyed Peas, 1999 & 2000 nominee; Korn, 1993 nominee; No Doubt, 1992 nominee; Sugar Ray, 1994 nominee; Lit, (then know as Razzle), 1991 nominee; Grace Potter, 1999 nominee; Alien Ant Farm, 1999 recipient; Dream Theater, 1991 nominee, plus dozens of others who have gone onto success in other ways. Carmel Helene, who was a nominee in 2005, currently is one of two touring back up singers for Miley Cyrus. 2006 recipient Yogi is currently touring with Chris Cornell as his guitarist.

The 20th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards will be a global event, open to artists from all genres of music from every continent. If an artist is nominated, they may be invited to perform at one of two big events during the year:
The 20th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards Voting Party at the Whisky A Go-Go on Thursday, October 7th, 2010
The main event on Thursday, November 18th, 2010 on the lot at the Paramount Theater.

If nominated artists wish to perform at the awards show main event, artists will be asked to seek sponsors who would like to take advantage of the media branding opportunities we offer. The Los Angeles Music Awards does not want the production cost to be shouldered by the artists. Instead, by bringing a sponsor to the table, everyone wins - there is no fee to the artist, production costs are covered and the sponsor receives great branding/visibility.

One Sonicbids artist selected as a nominee will also be selected to perform at the main event at Paramount Theatre at no cost to the artist. The publicity value of this opportunity is approximately $10,000.

Additionally, artists selected for nominations are eligible to perform at LAMA monthly showcase events at The Roxy on LA's world-famous Sunset Strip.

Every award recipient will be presented with a plaque and 2 comp tickets to the event. To receive plaque/nomination certificate, artists must be present at one of the 2 events mentioned above.
