Summary
CME Artist Services is booking 3-5 Sonicbids artists for the 2015 Lancaster Music Festival. Soloists will be compensated 80+ GBP (approx. $128 USD) and bands will receive 200+ GBP (approx. $320 USD) per show at the festival (one or two sets, respectively).
The Opportunity
The Lancaster Music Festival, founded in 2009, features Lancaster's great musical talent along with national UK and international acts from around the world. In 2014 there were over 40 venues, including Lancaster Castle, hosting nearly 200 acts with 40,000 visitors. 2013 saw the festival win Best Tourism Event 2013 for Lancashire and finalist for two Red Rose Business Awards (Best Leisure and Tourism Event, Best Not-For-Profit Business). The festival has been shortlisted again in 2014 and expects 50,000 attendees in 2015.

The Band
- Must be able to cover travel costs to Lancaster (advice in booking domestic transportation provided as needed)
- Primarily interested in original, jazz, blues, soul, world, classical, folk, indie, punk, rock, reggae, metal, pop, gospel (no Christian rock)
- 18+ (all members)
The Gig
Details:
- 2 x 45 minute sets
- Between 3 and 6 shows offered to artists
- One 40 min slot at the headline venue, Lancaster Castle
- Outdoor and indoor performances
- Backline provided
- Sound and lighting provided
- Sound engineer provided
- Compensation is typically between 80+ GBP (approx. $128 USD) for soloists and 200+ GBP (approx. $320 USD) for bands per show (100 GBP for one set)
- Per diem is provided per musician in addition to performance fee
- Depends on number of acts booked and available international sponsorship
- Accommodation, where applicable, will be provided for international acts (includes breakfast)
- UK work permits provided for non-European musicians
- Artists keep 100% of merchandise sales
