We book at least 2-3 months in advance at least. We accept virtually all genres but especially acoustic, singer/songwriter and other coffeehouse style acts. We also book some more hoppin' parties once or twice a month that demand a more dynamic, danceable act. Local draw is not necessary - this is a great place to introduce yourself to the Central Vermont community.

Compensation is generally by crowd donations (which can be quite generous if they like you), but is negotiable for proven quantities or if we feel we can promote the show to the local crowd sufficiently. Also, two beverages and a sandwich from our menu for each performer will be provided at no cost. We should have a number of slots per month for Sonicbids members. Some past performers include Rachel Riese, Swati, Anais Mitchell, Maggie Pearce and EJ, many touring folk and singer-songwriter acts as well as prominent locals.

Typical sets are dependent upon timeslot, etc. (we often have multiple performers a night). There is a small sound system but electric bands can often play barroom style, right off the stage, as the room is small. There are a few monitors available. Bigger or electric bands are welcome to bring their own sound reinforcement. We are currently working on upgrading the system.
