Summary

The Wedding is an independent film produced by Lazy Susan Productions in Calgary, Alberta. The film is expected to be finished this fall and will be submitted to the film festival circuit. Five Sonicbids artists have already been selected for music placement in the film, however there is one scene that has changed directions in the editing process.

They are looking for jazz, instrumentals or music with male or females vocals. Note: if the song has vocals, it must be in another language than English. Ideally, the language should be French, Spanish, or Portuguese. The song should be light, funny, charming, and sexy.

Songwriters will be compensated $50 for use of their track, and all artists will be featured on the Lazy Susan Productions website and given full screen credit. As is standard in this type of agreement, there will not be royalty payments. All artists will be provided with a copy of the finished product. Please note that songwriters retain ownership over their materials, and that this is a basic flat fee license.

The film is a 15-20 minute independent comedy about Zoe, an outspoken girl who never wanted to get married to the disbelief of everyone around her. Zoe plans to prove everyone right at her best friend's wedding, in what turns out to be a little more than she bargained for.

Scene Description: This scene takes place in a Flower Shop - Zoe (the lead character) and Emily (her best friend who is getting married) are picking out flowers for her wedding. There is music playing softly in the background. The flower shop is owned by a flamboyantly gay man.

Artists must own all publishing rights (including any and all samples) and the master recording of the material they submit for consideration.
