Summary

For the seventh year running, the 2012 festival will take place at Highams Hill Farm featuring camping facilities too. This year, the festival is expecting to draw upwards of 2500 fans over two days. A minimum of one slot is reserved for a Sonicbids band. Selected acts will be provided with a travel stipend, catering and accommodation onsite.

LeeFest was created by accident when, as a 17-year-old boy, Lee's parents laid a little too much trust in him. They left him alone in the house with their strict words resounding in his mind 'Don't you dare have another house party.' Being as ingeniously stupid as he was, he decided instead to stage a 'festival' instead! LeeFest has now grown into a full-fledged two day festival, with three stages and over 30 performing bands! It was recently crowned Best Grassroots Festival at the UK Festival Awards.

The programme is an eclectic mix of brand new music from all genres. The current lineup includes: Mystery Jets, Slow Club, Summer Camp, Raf Daddy (The 2 Bears), Ghostpoet, Man Like Me, Bastille, The Skints, BIGkids, To Kill A King and many many more. LeeFest has been covered by major media outlets such as BC Radio 1, BBC 6music, London Tonight and the Kent on Saturday.

Note: Submissions are only open to UK acts

About The Festival:

LeeFest started as a community of 150 young people in a back garden, it has now grown to 2500 people in a field but they try to keep the same vibes. Although being centred around young people they have now reached out and have an audience of all ages, shapes and sizes. It's one of those events when everybody comes together and celebrates life together.

The organizers believe that LeeFest should be about offering opportunities and inspiration as well as an entertaining day for the audience. They offer opportunities to unsigned artists to play alongside seasoned professionals. That way the amateurs can learn a thing or to from the professional experience, and we're pretty sure the pro's learn a thing or to from the amateurs energy and creativity! Not just for the artists though, they also offer opportunities for people to get involved in all aspects from tech crew to painters. It's all about learning from each other and being constructive. Bringing People Together.
