leetUP Tour 2012

leetUP is looking for local DJs to perform two 50-minute sets at each stop of LEETUP, THE WORLD’S FIRST LIVE CELEBRATION OF ALL THINGS NERD “AWESOMESAUCE. LIVE!” FALL 2012 TOUR.

leetUP seeks DJs that can play for a unique crowd, as this isn't a dance club. Think more hip-hop, cult and geek culture mixes, setting an ambient vibe to allow for conversation during sets. Tossing in samples from favorite films and/or TV shows will serve to get an authentic reaction from the crowd, as leetUP is all about celebrating nerd culture. Surprise the audience with your knowledge and fanfare to win them over!

leetUP is a nerd party & variety show. On stage, there will be podcasting, concert performances by DJs including Mike Relm, and conversation. Around the venue, there will be lots of fun activities designed just for leetUP, like exclusive technology demos, a videogame arcade, and other surprises that will vary, depending on the city.

It’s basically a two-fold event.

The very first-of-its-kind leetUP happened on March 1, 2012 in Los Angeles… and it was AWESOME! Over 1,000 attendees packed Club Nokia in Downtown LA, making it a smash success. The event featured live podcasting (including host Kevin Pereira, Kevin Smith, Chris Hardwick, Doug Benson, Felicia Day, Greg Fitzsimmons, Jimmy Pardo, Alex Albrecht, Epic Meal Time and Ask A Ninja) and performances by VJ Mike Relm and DJ R-Rated.

Please note: this promoter is only accepting DJ submissions. Traditional instrument bands will not be considered.
