Summary

Don't miss your LAST CHANCE to submit to the Community: Lehigh Valley Music Conference, offering innovative opportunities for musicians that no other music conference has produced. A minimum of 25 Sonicbids bands of all genres will be selected. The festival will feature showcases, keynote speakers, and a wide variety of panels. This year's key panel speakers will include Emmy winner, Harry Snodgrass./n/nCommunity: Lehigh Valley Music Conference is in its second year and is offering innovative opportunities for musicians that no other music conference has produced. Community 2 is produced by MAPPS, Inc. a 501 c3 non-profit corporation that also produces Women in Art in PA, Lehigh Valley Music Awards, Montgomery Bucks Music Awards. There will be showcases, keynote speakers, and a wide variety of panels.



A minimum of 25 Sonicbids bands of all genres will be selected. Selected bands will be required to pay a $40 registration fees to attend the event (usually the fee is $50-$100). Bands submitting to this listing will receive an additional 25% of this fee.

  • Grammy winner Mike Tarsia

  • Grammy winner Jason Miles. Jason is a producer & musician who has worked with a who's who of musical greats

  • Grammy nominee David Ivory who has worked with The Roots, Halestorm and many more. David is the current president of the Philly chapter of NARAS/GRAMMYS

  • Music icon Sid Bernstein & The Banner Records team. Sid is the genius who brought The Beatles to America, and he's still successful promoting musicians almost 50 years later

  • Grammy nominee (compilation CD) Gloria Domina is the Dynamo G. From helping with Carole King & Carly Simon House Concerts to becoming THE music mover & shaker of the Lehigh Valley. Everyone with a heart loves Gloria

  • Gentle soul Patrick Brogan, not a Grammy nominee but the main booking person for Musikfest (one million attendees) and Musikfest Cafe (200 upcoming shows)

  • Grammy winner Patti Labelle once said of Grammy winner Mark Tarsia's work "You make me sing".

Community 2 is produced by MAPPS, Inc. a 501 c3 non-profit corporation that also produces Lehigh Valley Music Awards, Montgomery Bucks Music Awards. It has produced and/or has been directly involved in 105 events in 2010, raising $200,000 for the community and for individuals in need.



Community 2 is unique because it actively promotes the music of regular registrants to at least 10 radio stations, it reviews artists latest cds and helps with motivation, coaching and gig leads for one year. Plus, it returns 10% of its revenue back to ten lucky regular registrants. It has produced and/or has been directly involved in 105 events in 2010, raising $200,000 for the community and for individuals in need. The Greater Lehigh Valley has 72 venues that feature live music on a regular or semi-regular basis. Three great drawing music festivals--Musikfest, Mayfair and Celtic Fest. Its panelists include persons who can book artists at the festivals and in venues ranging from the LV to Philadelphia. Grammy nominees, an Emmy winner and commercial, college and community radio people who love music and what Community 2 is about.
