The Lighthouse Concert Series at West Des Moines Christian Church offers 3 different types of performances:

  • 500 seat sanctuary

  • Outside courtyard

  • Fellowship hall “listening room”

It might seem unusual to see blues, folk, or rock groups in a church setting, but the truth is, churches have been offering live music for years to their respective communities. While people who love live music like to get out and see as much as they can, some don't want the hassle of usual concert crowds, cigarette smoke or alcohol-drinking patrons.
Churches solved this problem by bringing quality performers of varying genres to a "listening room" environment, where both the performer and the audience have a rich experience.
