Summary
The Lilac Fest is popular one day street festival that covers 13 blocks of inner city Calgary and is free to attend. The event takes place on Sunday May 25, 2014 and is an annual celebration of community spirit and artistic vitality. They are looking to book 10 Sonicbids artists but are only looking for Canadian acts. Lilac Fest hosts over 40 musical performances from a number of different backgrounds and styles, with a focus on emerging or independent talent. The festival is well attended and embraced by citizens and community residents, fostering a high level of exposure for the artists. The Lilac Festival will be 25 years young in 2014 and is organized by the 4th Street Festival Society.

Lilac Fest is a not for profit event and is free to attend, therefore any costs associated with travel or accommodations will not be covered by the festival.
Back line is not provided. Upon selection, you will be contacted via email and given a performance agreement to sign. Tech specs will be provided in the agreement.
Be prepared for inclement weather. This is an outdoor event that goes ahead rain or shine!
Parking is very limited due to the nature of the event as a street festival. Allow yourself ample time to get to the site.
With an understanding that travel costs and accommodations are not covered, please make sure you are willing to travel to play the Lilac Festival before completing your submission.
