Summary

The Limetree Music and Arts Festival is a 3 day music & arts festival set amongst the beautiful surroundings of Limetree Farm nature reserve at Grewelthorpe near Ripon. The festival, which will be held on Aug 26, 2011 - Aug 28, 2011, is looking to book bands and artists to perform live at the festival. There are 3 slots reserved for Sonicbids artists who play genres of music including rock, pop, world music, folk, singer/songrwriters and more. The festival includes 3 stages featuring a top class lineup of bands and artists renowned for their live performances plus comedy, cabaret, street theatre, late night cinema, art, poetry, politics, literature & more.



The 2010 Limetree Festival listed 39 musical acts in its lineup. During the weekend festival, the bands play in one of three arenas: the Green Man Stage, the Jason Rae Stage or the Stone Circle. Past performances include The Blockheads, Krystal Warren, Utah Saints, Craig Charles, James Taylor Quartet, Chunky Butt Funky, Pauline Black, Cantaloop, Ariya Astrobeat Arkestra, Killa Godzilla, Mik Artistiks Ego Trip, Natural Rhythm Band, Rodina, and many more.


From 2008 and on, the festival focused on providing a relaxing and entertaining experience for guests while appreciating and respecting the environment.
With so few festivals in the north (and those that do exist tend to be highly commercial and expensive), Limetree Festival offers people something different. In the past, the Limetree Festival has earned a nomination for best new festival at the UK Festival Awards 2008. The Limetree Festival caters to people of all ages and offers plenty of diversified entertainment.


The Limetree Festival provides beer tents, quality local food as well as weird and wonderful stalls to potter round and a healing area for rejuvenating the mind, body and soul. With free camping, onsite showers, onsite parking, no nightclub style prices, no economy burgers, no nasty toilets, no prima donnas and no need to take time off work, the festival gives the the site its own spirit & energy.
