Summary

The Linton Music Festival was created in 2004 in the small rural town of Linton, Indiana. Its purpose was to offer a free show in order to expose a music-starved community to all kinds of music and arts. The Linton Music Festival has doubled each year, and it expects their largest crowd for this year's event, as we they moving to a 2-day format. There is always a nice mix of genres with local and national touring artists.

The event is held outdoors in beautiful Humphreys Park in Linton, Indiana on September 1, 2007.

Artists do not usually receive monetary compensation, but all voluntary artists do receive lodging, food and goodie bags of all sorts. Compensation for some artists can be negotiated, but since The Linton Music Festival is a non-profit organization, monetary compensation is not generally offered.

With over 5,000 people attending the previous year, classic car shows and amazing entertainment of all types, this year will be even bigger.

The Indiana Rail Road is the main sponsor for the festival, helping this to be on of the highest quality festivals in the Midwest.
