Summary

Villanova University is a private college outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania seeking local and regional performers across many genres to perform on campus. The Live Music Wednesday program takes place on Wednesday evenings in the Connelly Center, Villanova's student center, and offers both Villanova students and outside performers the opportunity to showcase their talent in a dining hall/coffeehouse atmosphere.

They are currently accepting submissions for performances during the Spring 2009 semester.

These shows attract small, appreciative crowds and is perfect for performers who are either seeking practice space to experiment with new things or for relatively new musicians looking for a low-pressure atmosphere. Younger acts, with whom college students can most identify, are preferred.

Most genres of music are accepted; after booking many acoustic acts over the last year, they are seeking to expand and book acts from other genres.

Please note: On Wednesday night performances acoustic drum sets are not allowed. Prospective performers are asked to consider this before submitting and have alternate arrangements for a potential performance.

Compensation is negotiable but is usually no more than $200-$250. Because of this, Live Music Wednesday is best suited for regional performers alike who wish to expand their fanbase into the college ranks.

Please note: The event takes place on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. Their current availabilities are for February 18, March 18 & 25, and a special show on Saturday, April 4. They ask that performers are available for at least two of these Wednesdays to accommodate for possible scheduling conflicts.
