Summary
Liverpool Sound City is a Music Conference focusing on the 'new' and the zeitgeist. It will be for those entrepreneurs and chameleons who embrace innovation and change within music making (artists, production), marketing (plugging and promotion), film and video making, design (2D), live arena, management and the core business (record labels, publishing, production companies).
Taking place 27-30 May, 2008, Liverpool Sound City expects to bring together more than 20,000 creative business sector professionals, artists and music and film fans to enjoy today's best new art and chart its future course.
All of Liverpool Sound City's events and parties will be held within a 1-mile square radius in the cultural quarter of Liverpool city centre. Over 20 different venues will be utilized from warehouse spaces to cellars and everything in between. It will be a tightly packed, urban festival featuring label parties (Domino, Wall Of Sound, Moshi Moshi, Deltasonic), BBC 6Music events and parties.
Sound City Unsigned is designed to programme showcases for the best unsigned acts from key territories including UK, USA, Iceland, Europe and Japan. These artists will be chosen by a panel made up of key A&R from the UK industry. The best of the unsigned will be presented at the closing night party for Sound City.
