Live Wire Tuesdays at The Yale

The Yale is the focal point for rhythm and blues in Vancouver. Tuesday nights (starting October 6th) They will be hosting an event series called Live Wire. This will be a submission based, juried event, and The Yale will provide the selected bands with a live recording of their set on a CD./n/nThe Yale is the focal point for rhythm and blues in Western Canada. They host icons of traditional blues as well as new talent.

This will be a submission based, juried event series at which The Yale will provide the selected bands with a live recording of their set on a CD. Their sound engineer has decades of experience mixing live music and has been recording live events at the Yale regularly for over 5 years.



There is 1 reserved slot per month for Sonicbids artists. They have as many as 10 slots to fill per month, and hope to find many artists from Sonicbids.



Hundreds of legendary blues performers have graced the stage at The Yale. Here is a small sample, selected by staff as their top twenty all-time favourites:
