Summary

LouieFest '07 is a music and arts festival that celebrates the rich culture and roots rock-n-roll of the great Pacific Northwest. The event will take place August 18-19, 2007 at Sprinker Park and Recreation Center in Spanaway, WA.

This year is special as LouieFest is connecting, or "plugging in", with other parts of the country and the world. It is working on a simulcast at this time, and a 1,000 Guitars event to break the world record playing Louie Louie will be a joyous noise heard all over the world! The Universe! It's galactic! Past performers have included the Fabulous Wailers, The Kingsen, and Paul Revere, to name a few. The list gets better every year for the finale, with guitar heroes from all over the world.

The festival’s focus is to raise money for the Wailers Performing Arts Foundation, a nonprofit organization providing instruments and mentors to kids who otherwise might not have the wonderful opportunity to play music.

Sponsors are still signing on at this point, including guitar/instrument vendors, motel/hotel chains, radio stations, etc. Artists are not guaranteed compensated, but the festival has a booth where it will sell your merchandise all weekend.

Last year's attendence was over 10,000! LouieFest ’07 has 100+ vendor booths, 4 stages featuring approximately 60+ artists, a dandy bistro/beer garden, and a whole lot of friends you haven't met yet.
