Summary
The Loyalist City Folk Festival in Saint John, New Brunswick is moving into its second year in 2007. Our inaugural festival last year was a critical success, beginning with the songwriters circle and then the 10 venue shows Friday & Saturday, which featured such national and international acts as Steve Forbert, Stephen Fearing, Valdy, Robbie Fulks, Chris Smither and Marshall Crenshaw and a host of regional talent. Around 1,200 people attended the 2006 festival.
This year will see the addition of emerging star stages and a Saturday afternoon workshop for aspiring artists where there will be discussions on everything from songwriting to record deals. This yearÂ’s event will be held from March 29-31, 2007 and will feature a total of 30 artists performing at 17 venues/stages.
Compensation is available and will be determined on a case by case basis.
