Summary
The Main Street Music Series event is produced by the Farmville Downtown Partnership and occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. The venue is a stage that is inside of a building but faces out to a beautiful lush, green lawn. This is a "get downtown" event that promotes their Main Street life and businesses. The night features 4 bands, each playing 30 minute sets. Some sets can be extended or reduced based on the act. The event has a built in crowd and is a great way to build a following in southside/central Virginia in a town that is home to two institutions of higher education: Longwood University and Hampden-Sydney College.
