The movie producers are looking songs for the movie's soundtrack, and are looking for Sonicbids artists to submit their best songs for the opportunity to write new songs for the film. The 5 selected Sonicbids artists will be required to write new music specifically based on the theme of the film or after being provided briefs from filmmaker to them be released on movie soundtrack. Accepted genres include pop, R&B, rock, country, rap, and any song that has a commercial feel.

Artists chosen for the project will be considered as an independent contractor and will be compensated as such. Selected artists will receive standard performance royalties for sales of the CD and for their songwriting. Those who are chosen to be on the soundtrack will also agree to have their song published by Indie Break Music. Artists selected will also receive four(4) physical copies of the completed soundtrack CD.

More about the project:

The tentative release date for the project is early 2012, but may change depending on the release of the film. Initially, the project will be distributed by Interscope Digital Distribution, depending on the success of the film, physical distribution will be handled by Revolver USA.

Being that this is an independent film, it's the perfect marriage for the creative processes of music and film. This is the first soundtrack that this company has produced, but it has produced CDs by regional bands such as UNO formerly known as Unorthodox, The Supernauts, Mercury Mad and the Plastic Bitches, and a host of others.
