Quotes from the press:

"One’s option for quality summer music festivals in L.A. have dwindled a bit. Meanwhile, at this point the only two free festivals left standing are the Eagle Rock Festival and yesterday’s Make Music Pasadena, the latter quickly becoming the lead contender for L.A.’s best."

~ LA Weekly

"With so many free shows in so few hours, Make Music Pasadena's bill is as impressive as it is overwhelming. In addition to local heroes Autolux, the Little Ones, and the festival's six stages feature marquee international talents like Mexico's Nortec Collective, French girl-group the Plastiscines, and top-billing Danish duo the Raveonettes."

~ Flavorpill.com

"The L.A. area has been glutted with cheap or free neighborhood music festivals in recent years, but this weekend’s Make Music Pasadena has to be one of the most successful. Last year’s installment drew around 20,000 people to various indoor and outdoor venues all over the city, and this year’s is only expected to be even bigger with a lineup of buzzy indie rock, electronica and some notable imports."

~ LA Times

"The diverse festival exemplifies what Southern California is all about."

~ NME

"What's impressive about the annual Make Music Pasadena is how many constituencies the festival is serving over one day. With more than 50 performances scattered around 17 venues, the free, all-ages shows feature artists with impressive resumés (veteran rocker JD Souther, jazz legend Barbara Morrison and Latin Grammy-nominated chanteuse Natalia Lafourcade); something for young pop masses (Matt & Kim, the Antlers); and a smattering of SoCal's most promising up-and-comers (Warpaint, Voxhaul Broadcast, Moses Campbell and the Growlers)."

~ LA Weekly

"Music festivals nationwide are now in full bloom, and the Make Music Pasadena Festival was pulling out all its cards. With a wide variety of (did I mention free?) musical talent in many stages across town."

~ The Music FM
