MakuaMix: Voices for Children

MakuaMix is the first annual compilation CD made up of original music by artists who want to give back by using their voices to help children in need. All proceeds from the CD will go directly to Makua - Friends of Voices for Children which was established in 1953 and helps children in need in San Diego. There are 15 reserved slots for Sonicbids artists, who will also be considered for LIVE gig opportunities/public appearances. Selected artists will keep their publishing rights to their songs./n/nMakuaMix is the first annual compilation CD made up of original music by artists from who want to give back by using their voices to help children in need. All proceeds from the CD will go directly to Makua - Friends of Voices for Children which was established in 1953 and helps children in need in San Diego. They are looking for original music for the professionally produced compilation CD, of which 1,000 – 10,000 copies will be initially manufactured and distributed. There are 15 reserved slots for Sonicbids artists, who will also be considered for LIVE gig opportunities/public appearances. Selected artists will keep their publishing rights to their songs. The CD will be professionally promoted/marketed solely to raise money for Voices for Children.

Since 2003 Makua has directed all of its attention to Voices for Children, a not for profit organization, which endeavors to ensure that abused, neglected and abandoned children have a safe and permanent home. They do this through a network of trained volunteer CASAs or Court Appointed Special Advocates, and by working with key agencies to identify and protect the best interest of each child inside and outside of court.



Submit up to two songs for the $5 submission fee and get the third for free. Submission revenue will benefit Voices for Children.
