Summary

Marquee Theatre is a music venue located in Tempe, AZ, hosting multiple genres of musicians, comedians, and live performances. The Marquee originally opened in 1993 as "the Red River Opry" and catered for country music. New ownership took over in the early 2000s, changed the name and removed the seats. The theater now features festival seating and the back of the house is approximately 80 feet from the stage. This premier Phoenix venue is currently looking for acts to book this fall/winter.


The Opportunity

Marquee Theatre is a large music venue in Tempe, Arizona. The theater sits on the north side of Tempe Town Lake near the Mill Avenue Bridge, at the intersection of Mill Avenue and Washington Street, the primary business and entertainment district in Tempe. The auditorium style venue is located 1 mile north of Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ at the corner of Mill Ave and Washington Street just north of Tempe Town Lake. For years, this has been the primary destination for Phoenicians to come to see their favorite touring band. This is a huge opportunity to play one of the legendary venues in Phoenix and grow your fanbase in the South West. This is an opportunity for local, regional and nationally touring artists.


The Band

We're looking for bands Rock, Pop, Folk, Acoustic, Hip-Hop, Country, Blues, Metal, Electronic and Soul acts 

We book touring acts of all genres that can fill the theater and sell hard tickets

We're always passionate about booking local talent that can support bigger acts

Bands must be actively playing shows 

Bands must be willing to heavily promote the show if chosen to play

Acts must have a solid online presence 

The Marquee Theatre debuted in March of 2003 has hosted over 1,500 national touring artists including Nine Inch Nails, Muse, Kings Of Leon, The Black Keys, Adele, Prince, Green Day, Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, Jonas Brothers, Godsmack, Fallout Boy, Modest Mouse, Odd Future, Social Distortion, Phoenix, Paul Oakenfold, Deftones, Megadeth, and 311 to name a few.

The Gig

  • The general backline will be provided
  • Bands have access to backstage 
  • Bands get their own green room
  • Bands will receive a percentage of door sales or get a guarantee
