Highway One Pictures, LLC, is currently seeking original music for a feature film called "Mayor Cupcake”. The movie features such stars as Lea Thompson, Judd Nelson, Dorian Harewood and Frankie Faison. Selected artists will receive a flat licensing fee ($500.00) for their song(s).
/n/nHighway One Pictures, LLC, is currently seeking original music and songs to be used in different scenes for a feature film called "Mayor Cupcake”. The movie features such stars as Lea Thompson, Judd Nelson, Dorian Harewood and Frankie Faison. Highway One is looking for quirky, fun upbeat pop songs. Think Ben Folds, Ween, The Shins and other bands in that vein.



Selected artists will receive a flat licensing fee ($500.00) for their song(s).
 Please note that songwriters retain ownership over their materials, and that this is a flat fee license. As is standard in this type of agreement, there will not be royalty payments. However songwriters will be compensated a flat fee for each track used, given full screen credit, and provided with a copy of the finished product.



If a soundtrack album is produced, artists selected will receive appropriate royalties for albums sold.



Artists should consider the plot when submitting their tracks. The plot is about a hard-working cupcake maker who is inadvertently elected mayor of a small town burdened with debt and corruption. Uneducated, she relies on her street smarts to clean up the town.



The following genres will be considered: pop rock, alternative rock, pop, power pop, brit pop, alt country, country, blues, singer-songwriter. NO HEAVY ROCK, NO HIP HOP, NO RAP.
