Melodic Revolution Compilation 2007

Melodic Revolution Records is an independent progressive rock label. Melodic Revolution Records is pleased to announce the creation of the Progressive Rock New Music Sampler Series Vol. 1 Compilation CD. Melodic Revolution believes that the potential music listener is searching for quality music that you can’t hear in the mainstream, spoon-fed environment prominent within the mainstream delivery of today’s music.



The goal is to showcase original music that musically and lyrically are a cut above the rest, with the ultimate goal of creating opportunities for independent, progressive rock artists, as well as to increase their visibility by helping them reach a wider audience. The compilation will receive an initial pressing of 1,000 copies and distribution will begin in April 2007. Artists selected to appear on the compilation will receive global promotion via the Internet, multiple media outlets, retail environments, and promotional events. In addition, all artists chosen will receive six-months of promotion on www.melodicrevolution.com, along with a link to the artist's website. The compilation will also be distributed to over 200 college campus radio stations with which Melodic Revolution already has established relationships and airplay.



The judges for the compilation are looking for all types of progressive rock. Only original, ‘release quality’ songs are acceptable. There are 8 – 10 slots reserved for Sonicbids artists with each receiving up to 10 copies of the disk. There is no offering of royalties from CD sales, etc.



Please note: There is a $100 fee for artists to appear on the compilation after selection to help cover production, manufacturing and shipping costs.
