Summary

The Metro Fountain Blues Festival is the longest running "free of charge" Blues festival in North America, produced annually in May on the San Jose State University campus. Hosting world class acts such as Bo Diddley, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, John Lee Hooker, Buddy Guy, and Etta James, the festival provides an experience unlike any other.

The festival is looking to feature 5-8 Blues-oriented artists, such as Blues-Rock, R&B, and World bands. Typically calling on both local and national acts, the festival draws between 4,000-8,000 attendees, both local and from out of state. Artists will be compensated for their performance, with details to be negotiated at the time of booking.

Patrons enjoy food and crafts vendors, a great Beer and Wine Garden, the best sound system, a family friendly atmosphere, and, of course, the best musicians playing wonderful American music! Sponsors include Metro Newspapers, Samuel Adams, Wendy’s, Guitar Showcase, Clarion Hotel, 90.5 FM KSJS, the City of San Jose, and several others.
