Summary

The 2009 Miami Tattoo Expo will be head at the Miami Beach Convention Center on January 9-11, 2009. They are currently accepting submissions from bands to fill their music lineup of both headliners and support slots. There are 2 slots reserved for Sonicbids members. Accepted genres include hard rock, metal, hardcore, rock, pop, alternative, top 40, hip hop, latin and rockabilly.



There will be a total of approximately 16 bands performing at the event. Headliners will play 45-minute slots and supporting acts will have 30-minute slots. Submitting bands must indicate the scope of their draw in the South Florida area. Sound, lights and professional technicians will be provided along with the the following:



  • Standard hospitality (meal, water, towels).
  • One 3-day event pass per member of the band.
  • Opportunity to sell your merchandise during/after performance (you sell, you keep all proceeds)
  • Please note: Performance is unpaid



    The 2009 Miami Tattoo Expo (formerly the Gold Coast Tattoo Expo) is anticipated to be the largest event of itÂ’s kind on the east coast. Drawing off the success oif the previous events held in West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale in 2004 and 2007, the event has moved into a bigger space in the heart of South Beach. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your band in front of a large, music-loving crowd.

  • Terms And Conditions

    Addendum to Additional Provisions:
    Artist shall abide by all contract specifications including, but not limited to, load-in, sound check, stage times, curfew, et al. Producer retains the right to cut performance time and/or dock payment (if applicable) if Artist does not comply with said contract specifications and consequently causes a delay.
    Artist will comply with all federal, state, and local laws and ordinances, as well as Miami Beach Convention Center rules, regulations and policies pertaining to the use of facilities.
    Artist will cease performance immediately upon direction of law enforcement authorities, authorized Miami Beach Convention Center staff, or Producer.
    Artist will remove all personal equipment and property from the performance site within one (1) hour following the end of the performance or such reasonable time agreed by the parties.
    Unless otherwise specified, all payments (if applicable) will be made following performance.

    Event Cancellation:
    In the event that the 2009 Miami Tattoo Expo is cancelled by Producer, Producer shall forfeit any deposit made as liquidated damages.

    Producer is not responsible for any loss or damage as a result of a substitution, alteration or cancellation/postponement of the scheduled event outside of Producers control. Producer shall assume no liability whatsoever in the event this event is cancelled, rescheduled or postponed due to a fortuitous event, Act of God, unforeseen occurrence or any other event that renders performance of this event impracticable or impossible. For purposes of this clause, a fortuitous event shall include, but not be limited to: war, fire, labor strike, extreme weather or other emergency.

    Independent Contractor
    Performer is an independent contractor and nothing in the Contract shall create an employment situation between the parties that does not independently exist. Likewise, nothing in the Contract and any Addendum creates a partnership or joint venture relationship between Artist, Contact and Producer, Miami Tattoo Expo LLC, Standard Events, Inc. and/or the Miami Beach Convention Center.

    Liability
    Each party agrees to be solely responsible for the negligent or wrongful acts of its employees, agents and representatives arising out of that partys respective tasks and duties that are the subject of the Contract and any Addendum. Producer may, in addition to other remedies available to it at law or equity and upon written notice to Contract or, retain such monies from amounts due to the Artist as may be necessary to satisfy any claim for damages, penalties, costs and the like asserted by or against Producer. Producer may off set any liability or other obligation of the Artist to Producer against any payments due the Artist under the Contract.

    Other Terms & Conditions:
    Artist agrees to hold harmless Miami Tattoo Expo, LLC, Standard Events, Inc., the Miami Beach Convention Center and any agent, employee or representative affiliated with of any and all types of liability, loss, damage, injury, accidents, fire, theft, natural disasters or acts of God.
    Miami Tattoo Expo, LLC & Standard Events, Inc. make no representation or warranty regarding the success of the show, including but not limited to, attendance, exhibitor participation or weather.
