The goal of this festival is to promote Kansas City art & culture and put it to the test against national and emerging culture. Ink Magazine and The Record Machine wish to further establish Kansas City as a musical and cultural hub and bring together a sense of community for local residents.

The Record Machine is a homegrown independent record company based in Kansas City and has just celebrated its first decade in business since 2003. They have been creating a community of emerging musical acts from places near and far. Tim Finn of The Kansas City Star remarked about The Record Machines output [They] have assembled a stable of diverse artists who are making music that deserves national attention.

The festival is also brought to you by Ink magazine and inkkc.com. Ink magazine is Kansas Citys premier lifestyle and entertainment publication and website.
