Summary
Middlewest Fest is Northern Illinois' annual celebration of live music and the arts. Taking place in DeKalb, IL, the festival is expected to bring in 3,000 people. A minimum of two Sonicbids artists will be selected to perform. Selected artists will be compensated at a negotiable rate and can sell merchandise.
Previous artists to perform at Middlewest Fest include: Tokyo Police Club, Frank Turner, Murder By Death, Cornmeal, Gene Ween, Miss May I, Jonny Craig, The Wonder Years, The Color Morale, William Elliot Whitmore, Maps & Atlases, Owen, P.O.S, and Russian Circles among others.
50 artists total will perform at Middlewest. Indie, rock, punk, metal and folk artists are encouraged to submit their EPK. Events will be hosted at The Egyptian Theatre, Ottos Nightclub, Otto's Underground, The House Cafe, O'Leary's Irish Pub as well as various art spaces, halls and local business in the lovely and historic downtown DeKalb, just a stone's throw away from Northern Illinois University.
Middlewest Fest is produced by Kickstand Productions, a Northern, IL-based concerts and event production company.
