Summary

Are you a talented songwriter or musician who can create the next anthemic song for all things T.J.Maxx? Grey and T.J.MAXX have teamed up to give Sonicbids artists the opportunity to be a part of an international ad campaign. The top 20 songs submitted will be presented at Midem, the world’s largest music conference, in Cannes, France on June 5, 2016.

The Opportunity

T.J.Maxx is a unique retailer that believes everyone deserves beautiful, high quality things regardless of their position in life. T.J.Maxx brings women the brands they love at prices that work as hard as they do.

T.J.Maxx is a brand that:

  • Supports and celebrates women and how they live their lives everyday on their terms

  • Values inclusiveness, resourcefulness, diversity, and optimism

  • Puts emphasis on real value and is built on shared values with our consumers

The Band

  • Open to powerful tracks :60 to :90 seconds (or more) in length
  • If submission is longer, highlight the relevant section in the submission pitch
  • Must be available for exclusive licensing by Grey
  • Final track should work with and without lyrics
  • Lyrics should be about her life, her empowerment, her experiences
  • Music should feel compelling and relevant with an uplifting, positive energy as well as a catchy beat and hooky melody
  • Submission should be strong, inspirational/empowering, and speaking to women of all ages
  • Song will be featured in work that highlights inspiring real women who make it work everyday
  • Must be able to work in various formats and lengths (Digital, video, TV, radio)

The Gig

  • The Grey Music Director and T.J.Maxx will evaluate submissions and create a Top 20 Playlist
  • The Top 20 Playlist will be presented at Midem, the world’s largest music conference, in Cannes, France on June 5, 2016
  • Winner will have a song globally licensed across media platforms
