Midfinger Records - Licensing in Italy

Midfinger Records is an independent record label, born in Italy in 2002 and presently with an office in the UK since 2004. Midfinger represents about 20 artists, with genres including indie, shoegaze, garage, and alt folk. They are looking to work with similar artists who are interested in distributing their music in the Italian market.



Midfinger distributes through the major distributor in the Italian market. Royalties will vary from artist to artist, but can be negotiated. Midfinger also has a relationship with Warner Chappell worldwide, which allows them to place songs in movies, television, and commercials.



Midfinger focuses on a mid/long time range for any artist development. While they are looking mainly for unsigned artists, they will also take inquiries from signed artists who are looking for licensing opportunities in Italy. Midfinger artists have been featured at Popkomm, Mi Ami, MEI, Italia Wave (formerly Arezzo Wave), and other festivals.
