Summary

In 2008, The Milford Music Festival will be celebrating it's sixth year as a non-profit musical event. Featuring a full spectrum of artists, the festival celebrates the diversity of music and performance during one complete weekend. The festival will feature recognized name talent and new, emerging artists in a wide variety of musical styles appealing to a broad range of tastes and ages. Through the generosity of our sponsors, the Milford Music Festival is free to the public and operates as a non-profit 501 c 3 organization.

The festival will take place from June 6 - 8, 2008 in the historic village of Milford, PA. In the last two years, the festival attendance has more than doubled with an estimated 7,000 attending during the course of the weekend in 2007.

Sonicbids is the primary source and preferred method of submissions for the Milford Music Festival. Four artists were confirmed for the main-stage from Sonicbids in 2007. The number of slots reserved for Sonicbids members is not limited to a maximum number. In addition to the main-stage, many local businesses host live music during the weekend. These businesses often contact the promoter for suggestions on musical talent.

Past Headliners have included Dave Mason, Mahavishnu Project, Jim Weider and Project Percolator, and Lone Riders of the Purple Sage.

The event is held outdoors, rain or shine, in the town park under a tent. All artists will be paid and any additional arrangements are all subject to review and negotiation.

The presenting sponsor of the event is Altec Lansing www.alteclansing.com, a leader in consumer audio products.
