Summary
A little back-story: MilkBoy was founded in 1994 as MilkBoy Recording by musician and recording engineer Tommy Joyner. A few years later, composer Jamie Lokoff came in to produce a commercial jingle and felt so at home he never left, deciding to join MilkBoy as a partner and staff composer. In 2001, MilkBoy Recording had grown to need more space, and we chose to move to Ardmore in a fabulous building owned by a really nice gentleman named Paul Lichtman. Best landlord ever, by the way.
So now we will jump in the story to one day in 2005, when MilkBoy owners Tommy Joyner and Jamie Lokoff were having one of our BIG TALKS where we try to figure out how to make our dreams happen, and we hit upon the idea of an all-ages venue. We were already called MilkBoy, what a perfect name for a coffeeshop!
MilkBoy Coffee is located on the MainLine in an area that is bursting with talent. We, Tommy, Jamie and the MilkBoy crew are thrilled to give many local and national acts a stage to showcase their art to an appreciative audience.
The promoter is looking for acts with a ticketed history in the Philadelphia/Ardmore area of 25+ tickets sold. Because of space and sound restrictions, the promoter is looking for quieter, acoustic-based acts.
