Summary

Music Independence Summit Connection (MISC) is a career development resource for the independent music community. Their “Let Me Be Heard!” CD series is a catalog of compilation CDs showcasing the accomplishments and talents of unsigned and independent artists from all over the world. These licensing opportunities are open to any artists in any genre, worldwide. No songs with profanity, violence or degradation to women will be accepted. Great performances are key - both vocally and musically. All songs must be original and contain no samples.

MISC has reserved 10 of the 17 -18 slots for Sonicbids artists. The project is set to be released in July of 2008. MISC has recently signed a distribution deal with Tunecore to distribute the compilation to digital outlets worldwide. MISC also plans to produce about 1000 copies of the compilation in addition to the units being sold online, 200 – 300 of which will be physical CDs and the remaining 700 – 800 will be drop cards. Selected Sonicbids artists will receive 5 copies of the compilation in CD format and 5 copies in drop card format for their own use. Royalties will be paid for all copies sold. There are no additional fees for Selected artists.

MISC CDs will be available at all MISC events and partnering conferences, as well as at retail partners and worldwide via the Internet. MISC has already selected over 40 Sonicbids artists so far for the 3 other compilation albums that they have produced to date. Some of those selected artists include Eric Roberts, Fickle, Denise Gordon, Public Symphony, Amber Norgaard, Laura Delallo, Power Fam, Rashid Amir and Raw.

MISC compilation CDs will be featured each month on partnering organization network, CoLours TV, as promo spots featuring the best in independent music, which will air to over 40 million people nationwide on the Dish Cable Network. MISC also has its own internet radio network “MISC Radio Plus” and will periodically produce shows centered around its compilation albums, giving artists exposure to an additional 4.5 million listeners on Live365.com.
