MOBfest 2012

Chicago’s MOBfest 2012 (Music Over Business Festival) is set for 2 nights JUNE 8th and JUNE 9th, 2012 in Chicago's historic Hard Rock Hotel. Heading into its sixteenth year, MOBfest will celebrate Hard Rock-style when thousands of music lovers take over Hard Rock Chicago during the two-day bash. In true Hard Rock fashion, the Fender Ballroom and surrounding event space in Hard Rock Hotel Chicago will be transformed into the ultimate concert venue where 4 showcase slots are reserved for Sonicbids members (2 on each night of the festival).

June 8-9, 2012, MOBfest 2012 will feature two evenings of showcases and industry parties. During the two-day event, bands can showcase their music in front of a distinguished group of industry executives giving young, unsigned bands the opportunity to play for a greater number of big wigs ranging from brand marketing specialists, advertising executives, managers, record label representatives and new fans, all looking to discover the next cool band to work with and support.

MOBfest has a proven track record of helping to launch artists. Past MOBsters include: The Killers (Island Def/Jam), Disturbed (Giant Reprise), Rachael Yamagata (RCA), Absentstar (Columbia), Assassins (Arista), The Redwalls (Capitol) and Kill Hannah (Atlantic). MOBfest helps start the buzz, build relationships and close the deals.

MOBfest, Chicago’s preeminent music festival came to life in the summer of 1997 with the help of some of Chicago’s most influential music and industry players. MOBfest was founded by Roger Jansen of KMA Management, one of Chicago’s top artist management companies.
