Summary
MOBfest, to be held in Chicago June 18-20, 2009, includes three days of showcases at some of Chicago's best venues in addition to a full day of industry panels and tons of networking/industry parties. By submitting to MOBfest, you will be considered for three opportunities, including:
Two slots are reserved specifically for artists who submit before March 6.
Giving bands from all over the country an opportunity to be exposed to a gathering of music industry executives and A&R reps from both coasts, MOBfest brings the music business elite to Chicago. In its 12th year of helping bands get noticed, MOBfest has a proven track record of helping to launch artists. Past Mobsters include: The Killers (Island Def/Jam), Disturbed (Giant Reprise), Rachael Yamagata (RCA), Absentstar (Columbia), Assassins (Arista), The Redwalls (Capitol) and Kill Hannah (Atlantic). MOBfest helps
start the buzz or close the deal.
MOBfest is more than just panels. Over 10,000 music fans attend MOBfest showcases in addition to the A&R, managers, agents, marketing, advertising people, etc.
All artists who submit (whether they get a showcase slot or not) get full access to the music business panels held at the Metro/Smart bar on Saturday June 20th.
