Mocha Maya's Coffee House & Espresso Bar (May-Aug 09)

Mocha Maya's Coffee House & Espresso Bar is an upscale coffee house serving only the finest certified Organic Fair Trade, shade grown, heirloom coffee's. They're certified Kosher as well! They also serve Organic Fair Trade Teas, Italian sipping chocolate, 100% Fruit smoothies, homemade style baked goods and our famous Frozen Hot Chocolate! They have a burgeoning music scene going here that they are very proud of, featuring some of the best talent in Western Massachusetts and beyond.



Mocha Maya's, located in Shelburne Falls, MA has a goal to cultivate a quality music scene, and is currently booking music of all genres for their location. Please keep in mind that the music must be fitting to the smaller sized venue. Mocha Maya's works hard to maintain a listening room atmosphere, and a lot of volume is not needed. Artists are booked to play Friday and Saturday nights, and occasionally Thursday nights and Sunday afternoons.



Artists perform at least two 45 minutes sets, and acts with only an hour of music available are usually booked with a second act. A small Kustom 5 channel PA including 1 gooseneck mic stand, 1 Shure 58 Cobalt mic, 1 mic cable, and 1 1/4" jack cable are available on site. Musicians are welcome to use the house system or bring their own.



Artists are compensated for their performance by way of tips, are welcome to set up their own table to sell merch and keep the 100% of those proceeds. Compensation terms are negotiable.



Musicians interested in having Mocha Maya's carry their CD's on a long term basis can do that as well. The current arrangement is that they take $1.00 from any CD priced $10.00 or less and $2.00 from any disc priced over $10.00. With this in mind, price your CD's accordingly. Any CD's they carry in store will also be put into the in store rotation of music played, which is a great way to get further exposure.
