Summary

The eighth Mohican Blues Festival will be presented on Saturday August 19, 2006 at the Mohican Reservation Campgrounds in the beautiful hills of the Mohican River Valley about seven miles south of Loudonville, Ohio on Wally Road, an Ohio Scenic Byway. It is an outdoor event with a rustic relaxed atmosphere conducive to legendary performances and great festival experience.


The festival features a wide selection of Blues based music including hybrids and fusions like Blues/Rock, Blues/Jazz, Blues/Funk as well as the more traditional styles of Blues. This offers wide latitude however a Blues base or content is a must. Performers that have taken part in Ohio’s Blues Invasion include: Robert Lockwood Jr. & His All-Star Band, Wallace Coleman, Duke Robillard, Anthony Gomes, Joe Bonamassa, Big Jack Johnson & the Oilers, Anna Popovic, Eric Sardinas, Josh Boyd & the VIP Band and many more including regional and local acts.


Compensation for performances is negotiable based upon “draw power” and entertainment value to our particular customer base. Lodging and food vouchers for meal and/or snacks at the event as well as backstage amenities are provided as appropriate. There are presently five openings for this event however press kits are received and reviewed year-round. There will be a minimum of one Sonicbids act placed on the roster.
