Monto Water Rats Theatre

The Water Rats is Kings Cross' premier live music venue. One of the oldest and most well respected gig spaces in the capital.

Previous artists to play the venue include: MGMT / Glasvegas / The Cribs / Noah & The Whale / Miles Kane / Editors / Delays / The Feeling / Feeder / Bob Dylan (first UK appearance) / Oasis (first London Headline show) / Skunk Anasie / Katy Perry / Christina Perri and many many more.

Monto have been the sole promoter for the Water Rats for the Last 5 years. They book 7 nights a week and will reserve 3 slots per week for Sonicbids submissions. Unless otherwise stated all slots are 30 mins.

The venue is located in the heart of London's Kings Cross 2 minutes from Kings Cross mainline and underground Stations.

Every Friday and Saturday night the best unsigned artists come together from London and from all over the country. These shows are very busy and bands typically play in front of 150+ people.

The Water Rats is equipped with one of the best P.A. systems for a venue under 500 cap in London. It boasts a 10k Lighting rig and 100k Mixing console. They also provide the full backline. In short, your band will look and sound like "a million bucks".
