Mood Indigo Festival (India)

IIT Bombay Presents Mood Indigo, an annual cultural festival that celebrates the spirit of Indian youth. This fest, now in its 32nd incarnation has grown over the years into the biggest and the most popular cultural youth event in India attracting more than 40,000 students each year from as many as 250 different Indian colleges. Mood Indigo truly epitomizes the lively spirit and the vibrant enthusiasm that are inherent ingredients of any successful cultural event. The event plays host to two of the biggest musical events in India: Alternative Music Nite and Livewire. There are 3 spots available for Sonicbids members- with the possibility of headlining Livewire. The events will be held at IIT Bombay in the Open Air Theatre (capacity 15,000).



On December 21st, Mood Indigo will host Alternative Music Nite, an event that introduces a new music form to India's insatiable and ever-appreciative audiences. The event witnesses an attendance of 10,000 and has served as a huge platform to introduce fresh music among Indian youth. The event has propelled many unheard-of bands to stardom in the country. Mood Indigo is looking for music which Indian audiences have not yet discovered.



On December 24th, Mood Indigo will host Livewire, the biggest rock-show in India - an integral and perhaps the most glamorous part of Mood Indigo: 40,000 watts of music, lasers, pyros and 15,000 moshers make it the most hyped about show in the country. It enjoys unprecedented media attention and has been broadcast live over the internet. Headlining the night is an instant passport to fame and adulation in the country. Mood Indigo is looking for all genres of rock for Livewire.
