Snowbird Mountain Music Festival 2009

Snowbird Mountain Music Festival is an annual festival held at Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort in Snowbird, Utah. Each summer the festival brings some of the best folk and bluegrass to 2 stages and nearly 2,500 people. This year’s 21st anniversary festival will take place on July 10th – 12th, 2009.

This annual festival showcases top Americana musicians from around the nation. This is a the first festival to take place at Snowbird’s new outdoor venue, The Peruvian Terrace, with national headlining artists on stage Fri – Sun from 12 pm to 11pm.

The Snowbird Mountain Music Festival is also accepting submissions from Sonicbids artists for consideration to be included in the Susanne Millsaps Performing Songwriter Showcase, which takes place on July 11th, 2009. The Songwriter Showcase highlights some of the best performing songwriters from around the country. If selected as one of our winners, there will be an option to play at Snowbird’s Sunday Brunch on July 12th. We’re welcoming entries from solo singer-songwriters (sorry, no duos, trios, etc.) who will be evaluated on vocal ability, instrumental performance and songwriting. The ten finalists will be announced by early May. The finalists will be invited to perform on the 2nd plaza stage of the Snowbird Mountain Music Festival on Saturday, July 12, 2009. Finalists will be responsible for arranging their own transportation and accommodation at a special discounted rate. This is a great gig for any solo singer-songwriter to showcase their talents to a dedicated and compassionate audience.
