In addition to the performance slot, all selected artists will receive a unique print review in CityBeat, the city's music authority and producing entity of MidPoint./n/nMidPoint Music Festival is the MidwestÂ’s premier independent music festival. Now celebrating its ninth year, the Cincinnati festival lives up to its slogan, "Music Starts Here", by bringing the region together to celebrate the music of over 300 performers from all around the world. 150 slots are reserved for Sonicbids members.
The festival atmosphere is always friendly and supportive as musicians, fans and professionals together enjoy the midwest's annual musical mecca. MPMF focuses on helping emerging artists gain quality exposure by performing for a dedicated and passionate audience. Each performer receives unique print review in Cincinnati CityBeat, the city's music authority and producing entity of MidPoint. The entire city excitedly points its media resources to cover this event including repeated stories from all local TV news affiliates, newspapers, magazines and blogs. Confirmed already for 2010 includes Caribou, Van Dyke Parks, A Place to Bury Strangers, +/-, Richard Buckner, Cults, Fang Island, Via Tania, and Gaby Moreno. Recent MidPoint Music Festivals have also featured special performances from Chairlift, Micachu, Extra Golden, Heartless Bastards, Jason Isbell, Deke Dickerson, Sarah Borges, The Dynamites, The Do, Mates of State, Why?, Jukebox The Ghost, Felice Brothers, Ha Ha Tonka, Sonic Boom, Radio 4, The Sadies, AA Bondy and many others whose names have become familiar to serious music fans everywhere.
MidPoint Music Festival 2010 continues to expand by adding several new stages to keep up with the growing MPMF audience and the increasing quality of MPMF submissions. The expected attendance for 2010 is 15,000+ people.
Gold Star Chili will be presenting the Mipoint Artist Clubhouse, where all Midpoint artists will be provided with free Cheese Coneys.
Promoter has requested that all EPKs include 3 full-length original songs.
