MS Music Fest 2006 - Compilation CDs for the Montel Williams MS Foundation

The Montel Williams MS Foundation was established in October 2000 to further the scientific study of the debilitating disease known as Multiple Sclerosis. The objective of the Montel Williams MS Foundation is to provide financial assistance to select organizations and institutions conducting the most up to date research on the disease, while working to increase allocations for research from the federal government. In addition, the foundation is constantly working to educate the public and increase national awareness about MS.



The MS Music Fest was created in conjunction with these goals. The event this year has been expanded to include two separate events and a total of 3 compilation CDs, each for separate genres. In addition, there are a now 34 slots reserved for Sonicbids artists, with a possibility for more. Each selected artists may have up to 2 songs on one compilation.



The three compilations will be put together as follows:

• Compilation 1: Rock/Metal - 10 slots reserved for Sonicbids artists.
  
• Compilation 2: Country Rock & Singer/Songwriter - 12 slots reserved for Sonicbids artists.
  
• Compilation 3: Pop - 12 slots reserved for Sonicbids artists

Chosen artists will not only be featured on their specific compilation with song(s) and website listing, but they will also be listed with a link to their website on www.msmusicfest.com and other websites.



Please check out www.montelms.org to view or purchase last year's compilation (which features appearances and songs by Kevin Martin (Candlebox/The Hiwatts) with his band The Hiwatts and Blues Saraceno (Solo Artist Extraordinaire/Poison/Jack Bruce & Ginger Baker of Cream, etc).



This is a great opportunity to get your music out there, help a great cause, be part of a growing music event, and to connect you to other bands from around the world. Many of the bands featured on last year's CD have since traded gigs and made new friends and fans. Many of those bands have also been asked to perform live for the first or second time at MS Music Fest this coming year!



All artists who are selected for a compilation will be given V.I.P. passes to the Staten Island MS show and will receive 2 copies of their respective compilation CD as well as one copy each of the other two MS compilations.



All proceeds from the sales of the compilations will be donated to the Montel Williams MS Foundation. They will be available for sale at both MS Music Fests, as well as through www.montelms.org and www.msmusicfest.com.
