The 2009 Murrieta Fun Fest is an event conceived by 7th and 8th grade American students who wanted to capture the “fun” spirit of all children - while helping less fortunate African kids.

The Murrieta Fun Fest will take place on Saturday, August 29th, 2009 in Murrieta, CA (USA). They’ll have two stages with live music and street performances, themed concerts/workshops, dancers, puppeteers, visual arts show and more.

This is a community / family event with a limit of 24 performance slots so apply early; each selected artist will receive 30 minutes of performance time. They’re accepting submissions from new and established artists of all ages from all genres. A minimum of 4 slots will be reserved for Sonicbids artists.

Artist will receive between $100 and $500 and lodging if required, but should bear in mind that ours is a not-for-profit fundraiser event run by volunteers. Tickets for partners and children of performers are provided, but the Festival does not provide any drink or food hospitality.

Terms And Conditions

Artists must permit a recorded track for inclusion on a Festival CD to be sold as part of the Festival fundraising effort. This track would be offered free of royalties and payments.

We may plan to undertake television, radio or internet broadcast promotion opportunities that may benefit the performers and the Festival. Unfortunately there is no guarantee that there will be time for artists to review these recordings before use.

The Murrieta Fun Fest commences on August 29th at 9:45am and finishes at 9:00pm. In order to minimize the problems in scheduling performances, we give preference to performers who are available for the entire duration of the festival and dont place too many restrictions on their availability.
